Alpaca Fiber Basics Workshop

Pam held a comprehensive fiber workshop at the MAPACA Jubilee. This hands-on class was attended by over 52 participants and covered the following topics:

  • Maximizing your harvest
  • Elements of Fiber
  • Sorting and Skirting
  • Enhancing your breeding program with fiber knowledge
  • Showcasing Your Fleece
  • Textile terminology

This workshop will be offered at future shows, as well as at Heartline Alpaca Farm.

 

Stop into our new Fiber Arts studio, now open for shopping a wide variety of lovely one of a kind alpaca apparel and gift items. Spinners will delight in the spinning wheels and lessons, carders, fleeces and rovings.

Recently arriving from Colorado, Mile High Reverend's Black Dahlia has joined the Heartline foundation herd. With her came her ribbons, including Reserve Champion and 1st Place Halter from the Mid-America Alpaca Show. Congratulations and a big welcome from all the Heartline "sisters."
